The West Highlands master land use plan was created to accommodate growth over a 10-20 year development period by offering housing for all age groups, family types, lifestyles and incomes through compact, cost effective development with a choice of housing types enhanced with the creation of a district park for recreational and wildlife. Small scale commercial opportunities and a municipal fire hall have also been included in the plan. The pace of development will be determined by market place demand, with new neighbourhoods opening each year adding to the options for builders and homeowners alike. Development will typically move from east to west. Upon closure of the golf course, development of the park, amenities and housing will commence to the north of Aberdeen Dr. Phase 1, consisted of two low density multi-family sites and 34 single family lots developed along Linfield Drive. Phase 1 lots are SOLD OUT, but a good selection of prebuilt homes are available and ready to move in today.
